911 Telecommunicator: (Full-Time & Part-Time Fill-In = Grade 60 Non-Certified & 62 Certified) Perquimans County has openings for one Full-Time & multiple Part-Time Telecommunicators in its 911 Center. Experience with emergency two-way radio equipment & excellent computer/typing skills required. Ability to speak clearly & to remain calm & courteous during emergency situations is a necessity. Must obtain NC DCI Certification within 120 days of employment, successfully complete a 47-hour Telecommunicator Certification Course & a 24-hour Emergency Medical Dispatch Certification Course. PLANNER: Perquimans County, North Carolina is currently seeking candidates for the position of County Planner. Perquimans County is a historic coastal community located in Northeast North Carolina. The position duties involve professional planner responsibilities with respect to the County’s growth and development. The Planner will provide technical and advisory support to the County Manager, Board of Commissioners, and the Planning Board. Graduation from a four-year college or university with a degree in Planning or closely related field is required. Considerable experience in county, municipal or regional planning is preferred. Salary Range: $43,097 - $65,263, DOQ.
