We’re sure that you're aware that we're amidst unprecedented times between the government shutdown and the impending delays to SNAP benefits.  Come November. 1st, it is likely that an estimated 50,000 neighbors in northeastern North Carolina - families, children, & seniors - will not receive their SNAP benefits.  We know that thousands of families are making the anguishing choice of paying bills or putting food on the table.  Right now the Food Bank of the Albemarle is working around the clock to brace for impact -and we need the help of our communities.  Won't you be a source of hope & support?  As we approach the holidays, you could have a significant impact by holding a Food & Fund Drive at your organization. We know that people feel good knowing that they're making a difference, so we happily accept shelf-stable food items to then directly give to our neighbors in need.  The most significant impact you can have is also to raise funds.  For every $5 donated, we can provide 15 meals in NENC. Your support has never been more critical than right now.

It truly is a testament to our community that we can rely on ongoing support from our local organizations.  We will get through this together.  If you have any questions, please contact Maggie Rudd at the Food Bank of the Albemarle at (252) 335-4035.  Please post the following flyer where people can see it to help the Food Bank of the Albemarle.
