The Perquimans County Board of Commissioners and Board of Education Joint Work Session will be held on April 1, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. at the Board of Education Central Office located at 411 S. Edenton Road Street, Hertford, NC 27944. The purpose of the Joint Work Session is to receive budget requests from the Board of Education for FY 2026-2027. The Board of Commissioners will not take any action during this meeting.

The Perquimans County Board of Commissioners have been invited to a tour of the Perquimans Intermediate School Construction project on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. A quorum of County Commissioners will be present for the tour. No official County Business will be conducted during this time.

The Perquimans County Board of Commissioners will hold a SPECIAL CALLED MEETING on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room of the Perquimans County Library located at 514 S. Church Street, Hertford, North Carolina. The purpose of the Special Called Meeting is to discuss the adoption of a Resolution for Opioid Settlement Funds and to approve personnel matters. The Board may take action on this item and, at its discretion, may take action on such other matters, as the Board deems appropriate. The proposed FY 2025-2026 Budget for Perquimans County was submitted to the Perquimans County Board of Commissioners on June 2, 2025, and available for public inspection at the Clerk to the Board of Commissioners' Office in the Courthouse, Hertford, North Carolina. A summary of the proposed budget is available on the County’s website at www.perquimanscountync.gov. A Public Hearing on the proposed Budget for FY 2025-2026 will be held on June 16, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room of the Perquimans County Library located at 514 S. Church Street, Hertford, NC. All citizens attending the hearing shall have the right to provide written and oral comments concerning the entire Budget for FY 2025-2026.
