The burn ban for Perquimans and N.C. Forest Service was lifted on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at 8:00 a.m.
Due to increased wildfire risk, the N.C. Forest Service and the Perquimans County Fire Marshal’s Office has issued bans on all open burning. To read the notices, click here
In addition, the N.C. Forest Service has canceled all burning permits statewide effective 6 p.m. Saturday, March 28 until further notice.
